AirBaltic bondholders approve payment delays amid carrier restructuring efforts

AirBaltic bondholders have agreed to restructure the terms of the airline's €380 million debt, allowing the carrier to roll upcoming late-2026 interest payments directly into the principal. The approved resolution also temporarily waives minimum liquidity requirements through mid-November as the company works to avoid running out of cash. This debt relief is a vital first step in a broader reorganization plan that will ultimately shrink the carrier's fleet, reduce its wet-leasing operations, and consolidate routes around its primary hub in Riga.
