Ten weeks after severe seismic activity devastated parts of Venezuela, American Airlines is preparing to reinstate its direct service to Caracas. Starting September 3, the legacy carrier will once again connect Miami International Airport with Simon Bolivar International Airport. The airline plans to operate two daily roundtrips on the route using a variety of fleet types. For aspiring airline pilots, the resumption highlights how major carriers navigate complex operational recoveries and reestablish international networks following unpredictable natural disasters.
