JAL and ANA plan first domestic flight schedule coordination
Starting in late October, Japan Airlines and All Nippon Airways will synchronize their timetables on the Haneda to Okayama route. Previously, both carriers independently scheduled flights that often departed simultaneously. Facing rising operational expenses and a drop in business commuters, the airlines received recent government permission to stagger these departures. This unprecedented coordination reduces redundant capacity while improving options for passengers, highlighting how global legacy carriers are increasingly rethinking network efficiency to maintain route viability.
